Unearthing and reproducing these images from 40 years ago, when we lived in Pacifica, was a chance to reconnect to this time and a nascent desire to explore myself and the world around me through photography. Pacifica was home to Ohlone Indian villages before Europeans landed there in 1769 and first spotted San Francisco Bay. The 1/4 mile long pier was built in 1973. The population has hovered around 37,000 for 50 years.
